Although I've heard about Blythe dolls for the first time in 2001 through the SONY Minidisc ads, and discovered the official Blythedoll.com website and This Is Blythe website and forum soon after, I only managed to buy my first Blythe in 2008.
I've always wanted a red haired one, and at Miss Blythe Store there was a Mod Molly, which I liked a lot. But when I finally had money to order her the only red haired available was a Primadolly Aubrey Encore. I never regret the choice, I love her! As I was waiting for her to arrive, I watched Quantum of Solace, the new James Bond movie with Daniel Craig as Bond. In the movie there was a Bond-girl called Agent Fields, who was a red bob-haired girl just like the Aubrey. As I read the end credits and saw that "Agent" Fields' full name was Strawberry Fields, I immediately named her!
Strawberry arrived together with her cats Leon (a yellow tabby like my late sweet Leon) and Chi (a smaller cat just like the anime's Chi's Sweet Home's Chi). She's a Brit, born in London but with Scottish roots, she loves 60's and 70's fashion and is a real Go-Go Girl. Strawberry assists me about everywhere I go, even at work.
Apesar de ter ouvido falar nas bonecas Blythe pela primeira vez através da publicidade dos Minidiscs da SONY em 2001, e de ter descoberto o site oficial Blythedoll.com e o site e fórum This Is Blythe pouco tempo depois, só consegui comprar a minha primeira Blythe em 2008.
Sempre quis ter uma ruiva, e na loja online Miss Blythe havia uma Mod Molly, que adorei. Mas quando finalmente tive dinheiro para a encomendar, a única ruiva que havia era uma Primadolly Aubrey Encore. Nunca me arrependi da escolha, adoro-a! A Strawberry chegou junto com os seus gatos Leon (um gato amarelo igual ao meu doce Leon que me tinha deixado) e a Chi (uma gata mais pequena igualzinha à gata Chi do anime Chi's Sweet Home). Ela é inglesa, nascida em Londres com raízes escocesas, adora a moda dos anos 60 e 70 e é uma verdadeira Go-Go Girl. A Strawberry é minha assistente em quase todo o lado que vou, até no trabalho.
