When Blythedoll.com first announced the 4th Primadollies and I saw the tanned Heather Sky I fell in love! I had to have her, the bug had bitten me. In the months between I knew I had to name her Camila and that she would be Brazilian, but my thoughts would go all the time to the lookalike Brazilian actress Camila Pitanga. Although I agree they're similar, and I rather like the actress, I'm not that big fan to name her after the actress so I wobbled a lot. After much thought I decided upon Carambola for her surname, which means "star fruit" and she's a star!
Camila arrived at June 1st, children's day, and she's a Brazilian supermodel, a bit laid back and not the smartest pea in the pod. But she loves fashion, clothes and modelling, almost always wears heels and loves to party and have fun. Her biggest frustration is that I don't like the beach, so she doesn't go there much any more. She was born in Rio de Janeiro but lived most of her life in São Paulo until her career and the travelling began. Now she lives at the Dolls place here in Portugal, which is convenient for her because we speak the same language and it's in Europe. Like most Brazilians, Camila is the product of the miscegenation and has Portuguese, Amazon Indian, Japanese and African roots. She's a mulata!
Quando o site Blythedoll.com anunciou o lançamento das 4ªs Primadollies e vi a morena Heather Sky, apaixonei-me! Tinha de a ter, o bichinho tinha mordido. Durante os meses que se passaram, sabia que tinha de lhe chamar Camila e que seria brasileira, mas o meu pensamento trtazia-me sempre a imagem da actriz brasileira Camila Pitanga, muito parecida. Apesar de achar que são semelhantes, e até gostar da actriz, não sou assim tão grande fã para baptizar a boneca com o seu nome e hesitei muito. Depois de muito reflectir, decidi-me por Carambola para o apelido, que é o nome da fruta tropical que quando cortada parece uma estrela e ela é uma estrela!
A Camila chegou dia 1 de Junho, no dia da criança, e é uma supermodelo brasileira, um pouco descontraída e não é a mais inteligente do todos por aqui. Mas adora moda, roupa e trabalhar como modelo, usa quase sempre saltos altos e adora festas e divertir-se. A sua maior frustração é eu não gostar de praia e portanto ela agora quase não vai. Nasceu no Rio de Janeiro mas viveu quase toda a sua vida em São Paulo até a sua carreira e as viagens começarem. Agora vive no lugar das Bonecas aqui em Portugal, o que lhe dá muito jeito pois falamos a mesma língua e é na Europa. Como quase todos os brasileiros, a Camila é o produto da miscegenação e tem raízes portuguesas, índias, japonesas e africanas. É uma mulata!
